Indication: Damp-Heat excess with interior clumping

Symptoms: Fever, irritability and restlessness, flushed face, red eyes, dark urine constipation, delirious speech if severe

Tongue: greasy yellow; Pulse: slippery, rapid

One of the strongest heat-draining formulas in Chinese medicine, Xie Xin Tang, uses cold and bitter herbs focused exclusively on directing qi downward to drain excess heat and fire.
